尽管这里有将近三分之一的走读学生，在日常学习生活中要分辨她们并不容易。走读学生常常在学校驻足到很晚，在客厅和朋友聊天，在图书馆学习，或参加社团活动。如果她们愿意在学校过夜，这里有专门的房间供她们存放书本和衣物。换句话说，不论你是寄宿生还是走读生，你都会密切融入到我们的群体生活中。你是我们的一部分。

我们既热爱饮食，也爱合理膳食。这里的厨师不仅会为我们烹制美味佳肴，厨房更是全天开放，饮料和零食随时可以享用。另外值得一提的是，在这里不允许在餐桌上使用电子产品，我们应将注意力放在彼此身上。

餐厅也是一些大型校级活动的举办场所。这些活动包括ISA宴会，体育宴会，还有至关重要的“果昔日”。除此之外，烹饪社团和其他群体也会在这里开展活动。

我们和周围的这片环境也水土相融。博克舍郡是一个富饶的农业社区，我们的食物来源于周围的70多个农场。我们立志于在本地采购超过一半的学校所需食物。这些新鲜食材每天由我们专属的烹饪团队悉心烹制。

如同校园生活的其他方面，在饮食问题上学生也有话语权。由学生组成的饮食顾问团和学校职工同心协力，确保以丰富的菜单满足所有学生的需求。

Blue and Gold represent the colors of the School’s Athletic Association teams. At the start of each year, new students are designated lifelong members of the Blue Team or the Gold Team. Blue-Gold competitions are held throughout the year and points awarded to the teams. The team with the greatest number of points at year’s end is recognized with an inscription on the Madge Buerger Blue-Gold Cup.

The Book of the School is a large ledger with the name of every MHS student who has attended the School. Students sign the book when they join the community, indicating their acceptance of the School’s Core Values. Seniors stamp the book before Commencement, indicating that they have met all the requirements for graduation.

Class Rings are presented to seniors in a special Ring Ceremony each fall. There are four types — Meus Honor Stat ring designed by the Class of 2020; traditional Miss Hall’s School seal with carved blue lapis; classic Miss Hall’s School signet with old school crest; Miss Hall’s School ring designed by the Class of 2005. Community Meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays to gather and share news about upcoming events. These meetings also feature presentations by student groups, classes, and extracurricular groups; as well as updates from Student Council.

The Fall Harvest Luncheon is hosted by members of the sophomore class, who are responsible for planning, setting up, serving, and cleaning up. An adult member of the community is chosen by the class to carve the turkey.

Founder’s Day is on or near April 21st, the birthdate of our school’s founder, Mira Hall. The school community enjoys strawberries and ice cream, served in the Quad.

The Sending Forth Ceremony is held during the final week of the school year. Each faculty member "sends the class forth" with a special wish or bit of wise counsel.

Senior Blazers are dark blue with the MHS seal and are worn by seniors only. In the spring of their junior year, rising seniors purchase their blazers. The evening before Commencement, the outgoing senior class presents each incoming senior with the new blazer in the Snake Dance Ceremony. Read more about Senior Blazers at MHS.
