This is one of the most fun classes on campus. I walk into the Woods Theater every day with the joy of expressing my emotions and learning more about how to find meaning in performance. We warm up with a dance, then start the content of the day.

In U.S. History, I learn about important events and people in the United States, from the colonial period to the Civil War. We delve into the American War of Independence, the creation of the Constitution, and the conflicts that led to the Civil War to understand how these histories affect America today.

We started class reading, then Mr. Scullin had us do a daily check-in. We split into groups to discuss some questions about the reading. Everyone was really engaged, and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.

As the head of the Guzheng Club, I prepare in advance for our activities and bring everyone together to practice. I help everyone, especially new members, review the basics, so they can get started faster. There are aboutt 20 people in the club, and I try to answer any questions they have and help them improve. Through these activities, I am also learning and improving myself. Guzheng Club is not only a place to learn how to play, but also a space for people to share and communicate together.
