MHS Trustee Appointed to Bank Board
Susan P. O’Day ’77 joins board of Independent Bank Corp.
MHS Trustee and former Board President Susan P. O’Day ’77, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Independent Bank Corp., the parent of Rockland Trust Company, a commercial bank serving Southeast Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Susan is President of A.W. Perry, Inc., a Boston- based real estate investment and services firm, where she manages the company’s overall strategic direction and operations. Prior to assuming that role in October of 2020, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The Walt Disney Company for more than twelve years, leading the planning, implementation, and operations of IT systems and infrastructure. In 2012, STEMconnector, an online STEM clearinghouse, named Susan among its 100 women role models in its inaugural 100 Women Leaders in STEM publication.
“I have spent my entire career working with organizations that are driven by the meaningful experiences and relationships they create,”Susan said. “I am honored to join the Independent Bank Corp. and Rockland Trust Company Board of Directors and look forward to contributing to the growth and success of a bank whose mission I truly believe in and support.”
Susan rejoined the Miss Hall’s Board this year, after serving the last seven years as an Emeritus Trustee. An MHS Trustee since 1998, she served as Board President from 2002 to 2013 and is currently co-Chair of the Be Bold Campaign and a member of the Board’s newly formed Incident Advisory Committee. She also serves on the Executive Board of Directors of Special Olympics 2022 USA Games. Susan holds an M.B.A. from The College of William and Mary and a B.S. in Math from St. Lawrence University.
