Fall Athletics and Theater Honors
Recognizing Outstanding Contributions
MHS Athletes and actors were recognized Monday at Community Meeting as the fall season comes to a close.
Hosted by Athletic Association co-Heads Honey Fields ’24 and Hanna Heaton Wellenstein ’24 and Director of Athletics Telia Marks-McCall, the event included recognitions for the cross-country, soccer, and volleyball teams, recreational and intramural sports, and the Miss Hall’s Theater Ensemble, which recently closed a highly successful production of The Misanthrope.
Coaches from each of the sports delivered brief remarks highlighting the hard work and accomplishments of student-athletes.
As is MHS tradition, three-year chains were awarded to athletes who have completed three years on a varsity sport, and four-year cups were presented to four-year varsity athletes. Presented three-year chains were cross-country’s Viv Lanphear ’23; volleyball’s Ollie Walter ’23, Viola Quiles ’23, Jen Saldaña ’23, and Kate Butler ’24; and soccer’s Wel Maria ’24, Naomi Hopkins ’24, Ella Tawes ’24, Juliana Mills ’24, Hanna Heaton Wellenstein ’24, and Honey Fields ’24.
Presented four-year cups were soccer’s Solitaire Niles ’23 and volleyball’s Bethania Robertson ’23.

Director of Theater and Dance Jennifer Jordan also recognized members of the cast and crew of the fall play, a rollicking, modern adaptation of a 17th century comedy requiring student-actors to perform in complicated verse for over two hours.
