Miss Hall’s partners with Berkshire Innovation Center
Miss Hall’s students now have access to one of the Berkshires’ great new technology labs
The Berkshire Innovation Center (BIC) partners with Miss Hall’s School through Horizons and as a resource for MHS faculty and students.
Sited just a few miles from the Miss Hall’s School campus, the BIC’s mission to serve as a catalyst for innovation in the Berkshire Region, with the ultimate hope to inspire continued economic development for the area, provides ample opportunities for educational engagement. As a hub for research and development with access to equipment and advanced technologies, the BIC is excited to involve students in their programming.
Through the Miss Hall’s School Horizons program, students can opt to intern with the BIC and partnering companies. Horizons students working on personalized projects can also tap into the expertise at the BIC.
In speaking with Ben Sonse, Executive Director of the BIC, there is excitement for Miss Hall’s School faculty to share their expertise in the field of STEM — Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics — education. There are also opportunities for the School and students to develop further connections for the advancement of underrepresented people in STEM fields too. Additionally, faculty, and students can collaborate with the many other educational partners for programs, coursework, and pathways into STEM professions.
